I’m not really into self promotion but I couldn’t hold back on mentioning that I’ve been pictured on the front page of The Artist magazine (September edition)! Roy Connelly has written a 5 page article on the Plein Air Brotherhood, of which I’m a member. It’s a really interesting read (well written too) and I’ve got a few shots and quotes in the article.
The article also mentions our first ‘inaugural’ exhibition which opens next week in Harpenden at the A&K Wilson Gallery. All members of the ‘Brotherhood’ will have work on show and it’s looking set up to be a cracker!! The private view is September 1st from 6-8pm (all are welcome) and runs until September 30th.
congratulations!
I'll have to buy it this month :>)
Congratulations! Well deserved-A solid shot of the painter himself!
Wow! Congratulations, things are going great for you!Is this a British publication or the same one we have in the US? I'd love to buy one.
Continued success to you,
Doug
Thanks Vivien. Hope all is well with you and your art :o)
Cheers Adebanji. Look forward to catching up at the show next week. Are you in Harpenden on the 30th….maybe a spot of plein air if you're bringing your kit?
Thanks Douglas. This is indeed a British publication. You might be able to order internationally but postage might be pricey. I must confess I've just signed up for a year's subscription to the US 'Plein air' painting publication. We have a feature in the digital edition (this Fall – or autumn as we call it over here :o)) covering the plein air trip we made down to Cornwall in May. You're lucky to have dedicated plein air publications in the US. I wish we had one over here!
Well done David. Don't be modest!!! If you've achieved something you should be relaxed about telling a few folk about it. Needless to say I rushed out to buy a copy hoping for a revelatory insight.
