Looking forward to attending the private view today for the 2015 exhibition with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. It promises to be a great show, as indicated by the work on display on the new Mall Galleries website. The show is on until Sunday December 21st and certain to be well worth a visit.
I’m pleased to have five paintings on display with a mixture of studio and plein air works:
‘High Summer, Fowey’ (15x28in, oil on board)
‘Boats at rest, Portscatho’ (20x30in, oil on board)
‘Waves rolling in, Looe’ (6x14in, oil on board)
‘Happy boats, Polperro’ (10x14in)
‘Gothic Library, Stowe House’ (20x26in, oil on board)
Fantastic work David. And a part of such a fantastic exhibition too. Something to be really proud of I'm sure, must equally well deserved!
I have a soft spot for the waves rolling in because you just feel the wind and hear the waves when you look at it. It is moody and rough in the best possible way. Your boats at rest is fantastic too! It is large but still as fresh as a small plein air study. Best of luck for sales.
Bonjour,
Merci de nous faire découvrir ces 5 belles oeuvres.
J'aime beaucoup vos marines…
Thanks very much Valerie, very kind of you. It's a good show. Glad you can feel the wind and waves…I certainly felt them standing there on the pier (quite literally in fact as the waves were lapping around our feet). Pleased you like the studio efforts too.
