David Pilgrim's online galllery of paintings and drawings
Introduction

A warm welcome to the website of David Pilgrim (ROI). The site has been developed by David to provide an overview of his work and an insight into his art practice.

David drawing at a life classDavid currently works from his studio in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire and his work is largely based on landscape and figurative themes. His subject matter and techniques are constantly evolving as he strives to meet new challenges and explore different themes.

The interactive gallery enables you to quickly browse through some examples of David's work from the last few years up to the present day. The Blog gives a more personal perspective on David's current work and provides an honest account of his life as an artist.

David strongly believes in keeping the creative spirit alive through daily artistic activity, whether it be a 5 minute sketch in his lunch hour or a long session on a large painting. Not only does this help in the development of technique, it encourages the mind to naturally engage with visual concepts. Well, that's the theory anyway!

David has exhibited widely across the UK, including being accepted into the Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual show for the last seven years. In 2012 David had the honour of being elected as a full member of the Royal Institute of Oils Painters. His work has featured in several publications, having written articles for magazines such as The Artist (UK) and Plein Air (US) magazines. David is happy to consider commissions and many of the works shown on the site are available for purchase.

You can keep right up to date with latest activity by subscribing to the Blog and News RSS feeds on their respective pages. Use the links in the header bar to explore the site and do feel free to get in touch with any comments/feedback you may have.
